	Why choose Lodgepole Pine?
	Lodgepole Pine is ideal for Wood Siding because it has intergrown tight knots that do not shrink or pop out. Also the knots are non-resinous thus will not bleed resins through the paint coating. Lodgepole Pine readily accepts all types of paints and stains. Lodgepole Pine does not contain resins or tannins so you do not get extractive bleeding through the paint coating. Back to Top

	Do we use a stain or paint?
	We use Cape Cod Siding Factory Acrylic Finish which is actually a flat acrylic paint and not a stain. Cape Cod Finished Wood Siding comes pre painted in the color of your choice with many trim items to choose from and is basically made to order. In terms of delivery time we have our own trucks which deliver every two weeks in Central Canada, and down the Eastern Seaboard as far as South Carolina. Back to Top

	How do I maintain my Cape Cod Siding?
	A once a year light washing of your home or building will maintain the Cape Cod Wood Siding. Back to Top

	Do you have to touch up the nails?
	Our nails come already factory coated and color matched to the siding. By using the hammer caps available in each box of nails this further protects the nail head. Back to Top

	Is strapping necessary, and if I do not strap will it void the warranty?
	Cape Cod Siding requires that you use kiln dried strapping 10 mm thick or greater for horizontal application. For vertical application 25 mm strapping is required. Back to Top

	How do I apply strapping?
	Apply strapping every 16" over the sheathing and building paper and attach directly to the studs. The nails must penetrate solid wood by 32 mm. Back to Top

	Do I leave a gap on the butt ends lenghwise?

	What colors do we offer?
	Cape Cod comes in any color you want. Show our Customer Preference Center the shade or tone you're after, and they'll mix it - or choose one of our eight Ready-Stock Colors, a range of favorite shades always available for the fastest delivery. Back to Top

	If I want to change the color, how would I do this?
	The building can be recoated with any color of your choice using a premium 100% acrylic paint. Cape Cod recommends 2 coats of brush applied paint following paint manufactures instructions. Back to Top
